The preparation for celebration of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi is reached its climax in provincial capital Peshawar, as bazaars and route of procession were decorated and illumined.
As just one day left in Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the preparations to mark the Birthday of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on Sunday by people of Peshawar have reached at peak.
Like every year, the government and religious organisations have planned a number of activities including seminars, conferences, milad and other discussion programmes to celebrate the annual event. Different Naat committees are also organising Naat competitions to celebrate 12 Rabi-ul-Awal.
The youngsters are enthusiastically decorating their homes and streets with banners and flags bearing the writings about celebration of the birthday of the last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and lighting bulbs.
I have decorated my home with colourful lightings and also my street with buntings to mark the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with great reverence", a young boy Ishtiq Ahmad, resident of Ganj gate Peshawar.
He said, "I along with my other friends have also collected funds (chanda) from different neighbours to organise a grand Naat Khawani programme and Milad to mark the occasion".
All the shopping centers are also being beautifully decorated by the devoted citizens with colored lights on this occasion to express jubilation over the sacred day.
The sacred day will dawn with special prayers at Fajr, in the mosques throughout the country for the upholding and flourishing of Islam and the Islamic teachings, unity, solidarity, progress and welfare of the Muslim Ummah and security and stability of Pakistan.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi' processions will be taken out and 'Mahaafil-e-Milad' will be held across the country to celebrate the sacred day.
Meanwhile, district administration and local police have jointly chalked out comprehensive security plan, and taken stringent measures to ensure special security arrangements for processions of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
KP government has also prepared a contingency security plan with co-ordination of other law enforcement agencies to guard the processions, across the province. Different schools, colleges and universities will arrange Naat competitions and milad on the occasion.
